San Francisco-Peninsula Alumnae Chapter’s Betty Shabazz Academy and Delta GEMS is a dynamic group of young ladies ages 11- 18 years old. Through the Delta Academy and GEMS program, the chapter is committed to providing quality programming geared to the well-rounded development of young girls in our service area. The participants meet each second Thursday and some Saturdays every month during the program year.

Each month’s activity is focused around a theme such as: self-esteem, health, technology, financial fortitude, and service among others. These themes are explored through interactive games, group discussions, poetry, guest speakers, artistic expression and song. When these young women complete our program, many enroll into colleges or universities. The ultimate goal is to make a difference in the lives of these wonderful young girls so that ultimately, they too can make a difference in the lives of others.

For more information contact deltaacademy@dstsfpa.org.

If interested, download forms here. Forms can be submitted via email or at an upcoming program meet.
